As you all will know , the New Janet Jackson is out in stores.
I got my copy & listen to it , and she's definitely back ! ( well that's my opinion)
let's be honest , the previous 2 albums where ( and i stay nice ) really crap.
Anyway she's 41 & ready to battle with the would be stars. And look she can.
The first thing I like on the album are the interludes (and the opening interlude reminds me on TLC's fanmail ).
Feedback ,rollercoaster, 2 Nite & the new single rock with you , are without a doubt the best songs on the album. Great 80's nostalgia, with a deep funky bass line & some electro sauce. I like it, and I want more of this. The 1 a duet with Missy Elliot is also a very good song & with this one she shows the new generation that She's still here. Unfortunately there are also a hand full of ballads on this album, and the most are (excuse me for this ) a bit boring . the semi ballad Let me Know is OK & title song Discipline is also more than OK , so is Neverletchugo , that reminds me on one of those love scenes in an ( here i am again) 80's movie.
Anyway I love Discipline & Hope Janet is Back to stay in the charts . 3,5 /5 stars
